Evanescence tease new project seemingly linked to Netflix

Evanescence have teased that something new may be coming, with Netflix seemingly involved.

Yesterday (March 21), the band shared a brief clip of frontwoman Amy Lee on social media, which sees her count three and two on her fingers before throwing up two horns, with fans now convinced the 3, 2, 4 count means an announcement is coming on March 24.

Other eagle-eyed fans noticed that Netflix commented an eyeball emoji underneath the post, leading some to think a live concert could be coming on the streamer. Others, however, have linked the post to the upcoming animated series Devil May Cry.

The fantasy action series, created by Adi Shankar, is based on the Japanese video game franchise by the same and is scheduled for release on April 3 on Netflix. Earlier this year, Netflix shared the opening credits for the adaptation, soundtracked by Limp Bizkit classic ‘Rollin’.

That, combined with show creator Shankar retweeting the Amy Lee clip, has led fans to think the band will soundtrack the show in some capacity. One fan on X/Twitter also shared a since-deleted post of Shankar’s, where he cryptically said: “All I can say is Amy Lee is the [goat emoji].”

Aside from the potential announcement to come, the band are set to join Halsey on their North American tour this summer.

The singer-songwriter will kick off the new run of live shows – dubbed the ‘For My Last Trick Tour’ – later this spring, hitting 32 cities across the US and Canada.  Visit here to buy tickets and here for a list of tour dates.
