Ashnikko shares steamy, provocative new single ‘Itty Bitty’

Ashnikko has returned with the playful, provocative new single ‘Itty Bitty’ – check it out below.

The song marks the start of the pop star’s new era and was released onto streaming platforms via Parlophone on Friday (March 21).

Written with Skyler Stonestreet and Slinger, who also produced the song, it is a dancefloor-ready club banger, complete with a pulsating bassline and suggestive lyrics: “Itty bitty teeny tiny little slutty skirt / I like to put it on every time my heart hurt”.

Listen to ‘Itty Bitty’ here, along with its eye-test chart lyric video:

Speaking about the song, Ashnikko has said: “There’s nothing more effective for healing a broken heart than an itty bitty teeny tiny little slutty skirt. The itty bitty skirt (or whatever your personal equivalent may be) is godly and should never be dismissed.

“Our bodies are our most intimate canvases – the ritual of getting ready to go out with friends is one of my favourites. We arm ourselves with trinkets, talismans and amulets, treating beauty and self-expression as a devotion to life itself.”

It is the first release from the artist since their 2023 debut album ‘WEEDKILLER’ and they recently completed a prestigious spot opening for Billie Eilish on her ‘Hit Me Hard And Soft’ tour in Australia.

In a four-star review of ‘WEEDKILLER’, NME wrote: “What does it take for one to turn their back on the girlboss anthems that made them famous in the first place? Ashnikko’s debut album ‘WEEDKILLER’ has a pretty compelling answer.

“I listen to some of ‘Daredevil’ and I cringe pretty hard,” Ashnikko (real name Ashton Casey) said in a recent Guardian profile. “I was writing music people wanted to hear and now I write music that I want to hear.”

The North Carolinian could have made a killing shilling vague platitudes over punky trap instrumentals, as she did on her previous mixtape, 2021’s ‘Daredevil’. But within ‘WEEDKILLER’ lies an artistically sophisticated and powerfully moving argument for feminism.”

More recently, Ashnikko released a Simlish version of ‘Halloweenie 6: Possess Me’ as part of The Sims 4’s Life And Death expansion.
