Elon Musk has shared a clip of him playing Diablo 4 after being accused of cheating, and fans are roasting him.

Last year, Elon Musk claimed he was one of the best Diablo 4 players in the world after sharing a video of him clearing a level 150 dungeon in under two-minutes. He went on to claim he was behind one of the highest-ranked Path Of Exile 2 characters but was mocked for struggling with basic features of the game during a Twitch stream. He was also accused of cheating by a number of gamers including YouTuber Asmongold but his former-partner Grimes defended him.

“Just for my personal pride, I would like to state that the father of my children was the first American druid in Diablo to clear Abattoir of Zir and ended that season as best in the USA,” she wrote.

Despite initially denying the claims, Musk later admitted that he had paid people to level up his characters for him. “The top accounts in Diablo or Path Of Exile require multiple people playing the account to win a levelling race,” said Musk, adding that it is “impossible to beat players in Asia if you don’t.” He went on to explain that any stream is “100 per cent” him, though.

Over the weekend, Musk shared another clip of himself playing Diablo 4 alongside the caption “yeah”.

“Immediately after this video, the 18-year-old intern was right back in playing with your account. Nobody believes that you are the global top 3 player in between running the federal government and managing world companies. Do better; this is simply not possible,” replied one fan. “You’re right. I should be #1,” Musk responded.

Other fans have hit out at Musk’s return to gaming. “This is the most pathetic thing I’ve ever seen,” said one X user. “Conclusive proof that you can have all the money in the world and still be the biggest loser alive,” wrote another. Other fans have claimed that the video shows Diablo 4 advertising an event that was only available between December 2023 and January 2024, making the clip over a year old.

Earlier this year, Musk said gaming was his “one recreational activity” and he does it to “quiet his mind”.

“Some days are real tough, so playing video games is my strange solace,” he continued.

In other news, Nintendo has confirmed a 2027 release date for The Legend Of Zelda live-action film. It’s set to launch a week before Sonic The Hedgehog 3, with fans calling the clash the next Barbenheimer.
