Slayer‘s Kerry King has performed at WWE’s Wrestlemania 41 event – check out footage below.
Last night (April 20), the thrash metal guitarist made a special appearance on the second day of the annual Wrestlemania event, where he performed along to wrestler’s Damian Priest’s entrance theme.
The theme, titled ‘Rise For the Night’, was produced by Def Rebel – the duo responsible for creating original theme music for WWE since 2019 – but also features Kerry King on guitar.
King began his performance with a short solo, before diving into the theme song as Damian Priest appeared to the crowd surrounded by fire. Check out the performance below.

Kerry King wasn’t the only musician to perform at Wrestlemania this year, which took place in Las Vegas. On Saturday (April 19), veteran rock band Living Colour also performed their hit song ‘Cult of Personality’, which serves as wrestler CM Punk’s theme song. It marked their second time performing the song at Wrestlemania as Punk made his entrance.

Towards the end of the main event on night two of Wrestlemania (April 20), rapper Travis Scott – who has recently been tied to the WWE – made an interference in the WWE championship match between John Cena and Cody Rhodes, allowing Cena to pick up the win.

Scott came out to ‘Fe!n’, which was also an official theme song for this year’s Wrestlemania. He also came out with the “hardcore” championship, which was retired by the WWE in 2002 but recently gifted to the rapper.
It marked Scott’s latest appearance in the WWE, most recently having appeared as John Cena and The Rock’s accomplice in attacking Cody Rhodes in February. Later, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson shared that Scott is training for his inevitable in-ring debut.
More musicians, influencers and actors have been showcasing their interest in the WWE in recent years. In 2023, Bad Bunny main-evented the Backlash event, having made his debut in 2021. Speaking to NME recently, wrestler Charlotte Flair – daughter of Ric Flair – said of Bad Bunny’s career: “He has been incredible anytime he’s made an appearance. You can really tell his love for the industry and [how] he respects it and puts in the work. So kudos to him.”
Sexyy Red recently revealed she could have wrestled in WWE if she had more time to train. She, instead, had segments on NXT and hosted Battleground – a premium live event exclusive to the yellow brand.
In other news, Slayer have announced announced their first shows in the UK in six years this summer, which includes a massive outdoor show in London, as well Black Sabbath‘s final-ever live show dubbed ‘Back To The Beginning’, at Villa Park in the their hometown of Birmingham on Saturday July 5 – see all the details here.
