Last night (May 14), Netflix announced that it has green-lit some of its biggest original titles for additional seasons, with its most notable chunk of renewals being targetted around Bridgerton.
Ever since season three wrapped in 2024, fans have been clamouring for more Bridgerton – now, Netflix has announce a whole feast of new episodes to satisfy fans’ cravings. Besides confirming when season four will launch, Netflix has announced that Bridgerton will return for a fifth and sixth season.

Netflix wrote in a letter to fans: “Rarely is this author granted the opportunity to share with you such information. It is with great pleasure I can announce Bridgerton shall return for Seasons 5 and 6. Do celebrate accordingly.”
As for when season four can be expected, Netflix has confirmed that it will debut “in 2026”, though concrete details have not been announced.
In a three-star review of Bridgerton season three, Nick Levine wrote for NME: “Bridgerton may be more playful and progressive than most shows of this ilk, but it still relies on tired tropes like the need to beget a male son and heir. Thankfully, even at its cheesiest, it’s a treat to look at. Queen Charlotte’s brilliantly ridiculous wigs are set off by Rosheuvel’s scene-stealing facial expressions: her bored and haughty look is particularly meme-able.
“If you don’t have much of a sweet tooth, this still won’t be the show for you. But if you’re craving an early-summer pick-me-up, you’ll devour these warm and watchable episodes in one scrummy sitting.”

Besides Bridgerton, other renewals include Netflix’s newest hit comedy series The Four Seasons starring co-creator Tina Fey, director Colman Domingo and co-stars Steve Carell, Will Forte, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Marco Calvani and Erika Henningsen. It is based on the beloved 1981 film of the same name, which was written and directed by Alan Alda, who has a guest role in the series.
A release date for The Four Seasons season two has yet to be announced.
