Oasis fans have been camping outside the Principality Stadium in Cardiff ahead of the band’s highly anticipated first reunion show tonight (July 4).
The Britpop group will take to the stage at 8:15pm BST, following support slots from Cast (6pm) and Richard Ashcroft (7pm). Doors are scheduled to open at 5pm, with a curfew set for 10:30pm.
It’ll mark Oasis’ first live performance together in 16 years, following their acrimonious split in 2009.
In the lead-up to the big gig, audio snippets from the venue have emerged, giving hints at what fans can expect from the setlist. An impressive drone display showing Oasis’ iconic logo also appeared above the Principality Stadium this week.
This morning, ITV were broadcasting live from the Principality Stadium. Good Morning Britain reporter Nick Dixon told Lorraine that “some of the more passionate fans” were already queuing up at the venue.
He said that some had been in line since yesterday (July 3), and revealed that the band had surprised the early birds with an impressive gift.
The programme cut to people sporting Oasis merch in the queue. “It turns out that the band and the band’s management had noticed the fact that they were there, because all of a sudden, on the other side of the stadium, security rounded up the fans and moved them,” Dixon said.
“Security told me that what happened was, the management spotted them and they’ve been moved to a different area – a VIP area. They’ve had a massive upgrade on their tickets, which is fantastic for them. So they’ve left here deliriously happy and gone to another section.”

Dixon told the programme that this gesture had added to the “fantastic atmosphere” at the stadium. He also claimed that fans had travelled “from around the world” to attend tonight’s historic gig – mentioning some from Japan, Korea, the US, Italy and Mexico.
Elsewhere, the Manchester Evening News caught up with numerous fans in the queue. The outlet shared a photo of Jas Griffin-Jones from Liverpool – who was first in line – sitting in a tent outside the stadium.
It is also reported that sister and brother, Anne and Pierre from Brittany, France, had been queuing up for over 24 hours before the show. Sky News were live at the venue too, speaking to some of those who were camped out.
Two fans told the station that they’d “arrived last night” and “slept in [a] van”, adding: “We came here and started queuing at half 4 this morning.” One of the men went on: “I’ve seen them in Vegas, I was at Knebworth as well on the opening night. I had to be here.”

The VIP upgrade for some lucky fans in line comes after Liam Gallagher responded to reports that Oasis’ crew had not been given free tickets to the reunion tour.
Oasis will play a second gig in Cardiff tomorrow (5) ahead of five nights at Manchester’s Heaton Park, seven dates at London’s Wembley Stadium, and stops in Edinburgh and Dublin. Later, they’ll head to North America, South America, Australia, South Korea and Japan.
Last year, it was confirmed that over 10million fans from 158 countries had applied to get tickets for Oasis Live ’25, meaning the official on-sale platforms struggled to cope with demand.
Ticketholders will be able to buy new merch at pop-up stores in the cities Oasis are visiting this summer, but have been instructed to “book now to avoid queues”.
Noel Gallagher has said Oasis are “sounding huge” ahead of tonight’s first comeback show in the Welsh capital, while the band’s former rival Robbie Williams has wished them “good luck”.
The rest of the band line-up – as exclusively revealed by NME – is comprised of past members Andy Bell, Gem Archer and Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, along with newcomer Joey Waronker on drums.
Amid the growing hype, Aldi renamed a Manchester branch “Aldeh” in honour of the reunited Gallaghers, with Lidl launching a special ‘Lidl By Lidl’ Oasis jacket inspired by Liam’s Berghaus coat.
Last month saw Liam and Noel appear together in an Adidas Originals advert as part of a new partnership with the brand. They also teamed up with Bohemian FC for a new football shirt to mark their return.
