Fans have been reacting after Harry Styles launched a new range of sex toys.
The singer turned heads earlier this week when he took to Instagram to share a rare update on his Stories. While some fans got their hopes up that he could be announcing new music, the former One Direction star instead announced that he would be making a new drop on Pleasing – the lifestyle brand he founded in 2021.
In the update, Styles kept his cards close to his chest at first, sharing a cryptic post that showed someone placing a glass of milk on a tabletop, before tapping something in Morse code as a woman listened in, appearing shocked.
“For those playing at home,” the caption read, before sharing a link to a website that was “intended for individuals 18 years of age and older”. The site then said “Something Pleasing, Coming Soon”, and added that “Not everything needs to be spelled out.”
The brand has now confirmed that it will be a new range of sex toys, which are described as “intimacy tools [that] put pleasure exactly where it belongs: in your hands.”
Two products have been launched, one is “The Pleasing Lube”, which is an FDA-approved silicone lubricant, while the other is “The Pleasing Double-Sided Vibrator”, which was developed by Pleasing in collaboration with author Zoe Ligon.
The former is priced at $25 (£19), and the latter costs $68 (£50).
It marks an expansion of the avenues covered by the Pleasing brand, which began by selling nail varnish and various skincare products. Since its launch in 2021, it has gone on to include fragrances, accessories, candles and pieces of apparel.
The new launch from Style has divided fans, with some celebrating him for focusing on growing his business, while others expressed disappointment that he wasn’t hinting at new music with his latest Instagram posts.
“Harry Styles releasing vibrators before heading to the studio and making hs4,” one shared on X/Twitter, while another agreed: “We didn’t ask for this, we asked for new music…”.
Others were less pessimistic about the launch, though, and one shared: “All my years as a One Direction fan have led me to this moment… I will be purchasing the Harry Styles vibrator”. Someone else compared it to the recent launch from actor Sydney Sweeney, saying: “Harry Styles vibrator is the straight woman’s Sydney Sweeney bath soap”.

Styles has been busy with all sorts of things outside of music over the past couple of years. Earlier this year, he was spotted among the crowds in the Vatican City this week to witness the election of the new Pope, and before then, he ran the Tokyo Marathon.
Last year, the singer was included in the list of the richest UK celebrities under 30 alongside Dua Lipa. It comes as he has seen his net worth accelerate since launching a solo career.
He has topped the charts multiple times with hits like ‘Watermelon Sugar’ and ‘As It Was’, embarked on a global stadium tour, and won multiple BRIT Awards, Grammys, and Ivor Novellos.
