What a summer it has been. How are you hanging in over there? Glastonbury came and went, Oasis mania rages on, and there have been enough gigs – from the tiny venues to stadiums – to leave us wrecked and crawling beneath the nearest rock to hibernate. You’ve nearly made it to the end (congratulations!) but there’s one big one left: as the iconic Reading & Leeds returns to take over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
With debut headline sets from Irish soul man Hozier, pop princess Chappell Roan and rap giant Travis Scott alongside return Sheffield metallers Bring Me The Horizon, it’s going to be massive. Throw in Limp Bizkit, AJ Tracey, Becky Hill, Amyl & The Sniffers, Wunderhorse, Soft Play, Suki Waterhouse and an almighty undercard of future headliner fresh new talent, and you’ve got the makings of a real party.
There have also been some big changes to both sites and they’ve shaken up the late night offerings, so expect an R&L like no other.
Whether you’re heading to Reading & Leeds or not, we’ve got you covered. Get ready for the weekend below, and check back at NME across the weekend here for our usual world-beating festival coverage of reviews, interviews, photos, news, and gossip – and follow our liveblog of all the action as it happens below. Then you can sleep, we promise.
