Pet Shop Boys have announced plans for a run of intimate London shows in 2026 – check out the details below.

The NME Godlike Genius alumni will perform five shows at London’s Electric Ballroom from April 6-10 next year.

Entitled ‘Obscure Pet Shop Boys’, and in contrast to the duo’s recent ‘Dreamworld: The Greatest Hits Live’ tour, the new shows will see the electro pioneers perform a setlist featuring only non-single album tracks and B-sides from across their career with many being performed live for the first time.

Their show on April 8 will also be a benefit concert in aid of War Child. Full details and ticket information for all the intimate gigs will be revealed here this Wednesday (November 12).

“We are very excited at the prospect of going deeper into our song catalogue in these shows and giving album tracks, B-sides and fan favourites a chance to be heard live,” the pair said.

Pet Shop Boys released their 15th and latest studio album, ‘Nonetheless’, in April 2024. In a four-star review, NME hailed the project as “the sublime sound of pop’s standard-bearers continuing to hone their craft”.

The band’s Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe spoke to NME last year about how the LP was their “queer album”. When asked what “era” they were in currently, Tennant replied: “The ‘Nonetheless’ era. Pet Shop Boys are always in the era of now.”

This summer also saw Pet Shop Boys play some big outdoor shows in the UK as part of their ‘Greatest Hits’ tour which will continue into 2026 with a show at Lytham Festival on July 4. Any remaining tickets can be purchased here.

Elsewhere, Pet Shop Boys recently announced a new remix album, ‘Disco 5’, featuring Noel Gallagher, Sleaford Mods, Paul Weller and Primal Scream.

Featuring 12 tracks, the upcoming LP boasts reimaginings of songs such as Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ ‘Think Of A Number’, Primal Scream’s ‘Innocent Money’ and Paul Weller’s ‘Cosmic Fringes’.

The album, which is out on November 21, also features the pair’s remix of Sleaford Mods’ ‘West End Girls’ cover from 2023, as well as Pet Shop Boys’ collaboration with Soft Cell on ‘Purple Zone’. Additionally, there are the duo’s spins of tracks by Tina Turner, Claptone, Wolfgang Tillmans and more. Pre-order/pre-save here.
