The brilliant soundtrack to Hades 2 is finally available to stream on all major services.
Hades 2 launched in September 2025 after an early access period that kickstarted back in May 2024. According to developers Supergiant Games, the sequel to the 2020 original “builds on the best aspects of the original god-like rogue-like dungeon crawler in an all-new, action-packed, endlessly replayable experience rooted in the Underworld of Greek myth and its deep connections to the dawn of witchcraft”.
The game quickly became one of the best-reviewed of the year with fans praising the story, the game mechanics and Darren Korb’s incredible soundtrack.
At launch, the soundtrack was only available to buy via Bandcamp and last month, the 52-track score was added to Spotify. Now the Hades 2 original soundtrack is available to stream on all major platforms.
Next year, a special Hades 2 concert will take place at London’s Royal Festival Hall as part of the 2026 Game Music Festival. “The team specialises in organising exquisite monographic concerts, focused on presenting a selected game franchise, or a particular composer’s works, in a coherent manner. There are no visualisations during the show, and electronic sound amplification is avoided unless technically necessary,” reads a press release, with the concerts described as a “slow listening experience”. The music of Diablo and Persona will also be performed during the festival.
Despite the success of Hades 2, developers have said they might not bother with a third game. “Hades 3 is not preordained. It’s not something we secretly know right now or anything like that,” said Supergiant studio director Amir Rao. “With each of our projects over the years, we’ve aimed to take on a new challenge that stretched our team’s creativity and taught us more about how to make games well together.”
In other news, Nintendo has confirmed two more names for the cast of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie and shared the first trailer. Nintendo superfan Brie Larson is set to voice “cosmic protector” and fan-favourite Princess Rosalina while Benny Safdie will voice Bowser Jr., “a villain with galactic ambition”.
